Sir Bills End Losing Streak

The Sir Bills ended their four game losing streak with a 7-2 road victory over South Glens Falls on Monday, April 20th. Colin Lombardoni led the way for the Sir Bills going 3-for-4 with two runs batted in, two doubles and a triple.

Johnstown jumped on the Bulldogs early with two runs in the top of the first. Jason Biron score the first run of the inning when he came into score on a passed ball while a couple pitches later, Jake Arrunategui scored on another passed ball by the Bulldogs catcher. In the bottom of the fifth, South Glens Falls was able to knot the score at 2-2. Masterson came into score on a error by the Sir Bills second baseman. The Bulldogs final run scored on a RBI triple by Brodt.

The Sir Bills would regain the lead in the top of the sixth on a RBI double by Lombardoni, 3-2. Johnstown would increase its lead in the top of the sevent with four runs to take a 7-2 lead. Casey Rivera doubled in Corey Palmateer to start the scoring. After an Ian Yost walk, Wes Clark singled in the second run of the inning and then Yost scored on a fielding error by the center fielder. The Sir Bills last run came in on a RBI double by Lombardoni to help give the Sir Bills the 7-2 victory over the Bulldogs.

The Sir Bills return to action on Wednesday, April 22nd when they host South Glens Falls. Game time is slated 4:15 pm.
