Sir Bills fall in Semifinals match-up against Granville

The (10) Johnstown Sir Bills fell in their Semifinals game against (3) Granville, 14-4 in Albany, NY. The loss end the Sir Bill's 2008 season with an overall record of 14-11. The Sir Bills were led by Trevor Bruce at the plate. He went 1-for-2 with two runs batted in and recorded a stolen base. Wesley Clark helped out, he went 2-for-3 with one run batted in, one run scored and one stolen base.

Granville was able to get on the board first with one run in the bottom of the first on a RBI single by H. Osborne.

Johnstown took a 4-1 lead with four runs in the top of the third. Casey Rivera knocked in the first run of the inning with a single. In the next at bat, Clark hit a RBI single to score Ryan Brown. The last two runs came on a two RBI double by Bruce.

Granville would regain the lead with five runs in the bottom of the fourth to go up, 6-4. Cravelle singled in the first run of the inning. Dunbar hit a bases loaded triple knocking in the next three runs of the inning. The last run came in when Dunbar scored on a wild pitch.

Granville would adde eight more runs over the next two innings to take a 14-4 lead that they would keep for the rest of the game and carry them to the Championship game.

The Johnstown Sir Bills end its 2008 season with an overall record of 14-11, improving on the 2007 seasons total by two wins.
