Sir Bills down Fonda in 10 innings for a First Round Sectional win

The (10) Johnstown Sir Bills ended the (7) Fonda-Fultonville Braves season with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings on Thursday afternoon in Fonda, NY. Casey Rivera led the Sir Bills at the plate. He went 1-for-3 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Craig Cook helped out, he went 1-for-2 with one run batted in and a stolen base.

Fonda was able to get on the board first with one run in the bottom of the fourth on a RBI double by Hart.

Johnstown tied the game up with one run in the top of the sixth on a RBI double by Cook.

The Sir Bills took a 4-1 lead with three runs in the top of 10th. Rivera doubled in the first two runs of the inning. The next batter, Wesley Clark singled in the Rivera for the last run of the inning.

The Braves rallied for two runs in the bottom of the 10th but came up short, losing 4-3. Hall singled in the first run for Fonda and J. Nethaway singled in the second run.

Clark was able to go the distance on the mound for the Sir Bills to get the win. He gave up just five hits, three earned runs, two walks and recorded 10 strikeouts.

The (10) Sir Bills return to action on Saturday, May 31st as the will travel to (2) Ravena for the Quarterfinals in the Section II Class B Tournament. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m.
