The Sir Bills light up the Patriots to win thier last regular season gamePosted Saturday, May 24, 2008 by Joshua Mraz The Johnstown Sir Bills scored nine runs in the top of the seventh to beat the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots on Friday afternoon in Broadalbin-Perth, NY. The win will mark the last regular season game for the Sir Bills, as they now wait for Section II Class B seedings. Casey Rivera led the Sir Bills at the plate, he went 2-for-2 with two runs batted in and one run scored. Craig Cook helped out, he went 1-for-2 with two runs batted in and two runs batted in. With the victory the Sir Bills improve to 12-10 overall on the season. Johnstown got on the board first with one run in the top first on a RBI bases loaded walk by Cook. The Patriots took a 3-1 lead with three runs in the bottom of the first. All three runs came in on a three run home run by Caswell. Broadalbin went up 4-1 with one run in the bottom of the fifth on a RBI sacrifice fly by Hathway. The Sir Bills tied the game up with three runs in the top of the sixth. Jason Biron knocked in the first two runs on a two RBI single. Rivera knocked in the third run on a RBI single to score Biron. Johnstown took a 13-4 lead with nine runs in the top of the seventh. Cook scored the first run when Jake Arunnategui reached on an error by the shortstop. Arunnategui came into score on a wild pitch for the second run. Rivera singled in the third run. Ryan Brown scored the fourth run when Wesley Clark reached on an error by the third baseman. The fifth run came in when Cook was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Brian Morrison knocked in the next two runs when he reached on an error by the right fielder. The eighth run came in on a RBI bases loaded walk by Arunnategui. Morrison score the last run as he came in on a wild pitch. The Sir Bills now wait for seedings to find out when, where and who they will be playing in the first round in of the Section II Tournament.
