The Sir Bills hand Cobleskill-Richmondville a 5-1 loss

The Johnstown Sir Bills handed Cobleskill-Richmondville a 5-1 loss on Thursday night in Johnstown, NY. Ryan Brown led the Sir Bills at the plate. He went 3-for-3 with one run scored, one run batted in and one stolen base. Craig Cook and Colin Lombardoni each went 1-for-3 with one run scored and one run batted in to help the Sir Bills.

With the victory, the Sir Bills improve to 11-10 overall on the season.

Cobleskill got on the board first, scoring its only run in the top of the second when Lamountain stole home.

Johnstown took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the third. Brown started things off with a one-out single. Cook then tripled to score Brown. Jordan Hill knocked in the second run on a RBI sacrifice fly to center field. Lombardoni, the next batter, doubled to score Bruce. Brian Morrison singled in the fourth run of the inning.

The Sir Bills added to their lead with one more run in the bottom of the sixth on a RBI single by Brown to plate Nick Tino.

The Sir Bills return to action on Friday May, 23rd when they will travel to play the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
