South Glens Falls hands the Sir Bills their first lost of the season

South Glens Falls defeated the Johnstown Sir Bills, 4-1 in South Glens Falls, NY on Monday afternoon. Criag Cook led the Sir Bills. He went 2-for-2 with one RBI.

The Sir Bills fall to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the Foothills. The Bulldogs improve to 2-0.

The Bulldogs got on the board first in the bottom of the first. Beaudet singeld to bring in D. Powers.

Johnstown scored its only run in the top of the second to tie the game, 1-1. Jordan Hill recorded a two out walk. Craig Cook then doubled to score Hill from first.

South Glens Falls took a 2-1 led in the bottom of the third. Gorrie led off the inning with a single and then stole second. He advanced to third on a error by the third baseman and then came into score on a wild pitch.

The Bulldogs added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. Shanks reached on a error by the third baseman which brought in a run. Greene scored on a sacrifice bunt by Beecher for the second and final run of the game.

The Sir Bills return to action on Wednesday, April 16th when they will travel to Broadalbin-Perth. Game time is slated for 12:00 p.m.
